Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you register your interest or submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and any message content you include. If you make a booking, we also collect dietary requirements and payment details processed securely through Stripe.

Dietary requirements are sensitive information under the Privacy Act, because they can reveal something about your health, such as an allergy or intolerance. Providing them is optional. When you do, we collect them for one purpose: to brief the venue kitchens so they can prepare your day.

How we use it

Your information is used to communicate with you about The Makers' Circuit: upcoming editions, booking confirmations, and responses to your enquiries. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you provide dietary requirements, we share them with the venue kitchens ahead of your visit so they can prepare for you. We do not otherwise disclose your details to the venues.

Where it is stored

Data is stored securely in Supabase (Sydney, Australia region) with row-level security enabled on all tables. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which maintains its own privacy policy. We do not store credit card numbers on our systems.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it. Dietary requirements are removed or redacted from our records once your event has taken place. Booking and contact details are kept as long as required for our records and any legal obligations.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google for advertising purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email hello@themakerscircuit.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address you have provided. This policy was last updated in June 2026.
