The Day

One region, one day, three tables

A progressive dining journey across the Yarra Valley. Three handpicked venues, shaped around exceptional food, wine, and the makers behind them.

An opening course paired with wine, a long lunch at its heart, and a tasting of cheese to close, all in one day for no more than six guests. You're often hosted by the people who grow, make, and pour.

Three Stops. One Day.

Stop One · Opening

Yering Station

The day opens where Victorian wine began. Yering Station planted the state's first vineyard in 1838, and remains a working winery today.

A glass on arrival, then the working winery and the underground cellar, walked through by the people who make the wine.

A plated course follows in the restaurant, matched to a wine, a considered opening before the table at TarraWarra.

Stop Two · The Long Lunch

TarraWarra Estate

Lunch is the heart of the day, and it sits at TarraWarra. The restaurant is built into the earth, rammed walls and wide windows onto the vines.

It begins in the kitchen garden where the day's produce is grown, the makers walking you through it, then a long lunch at the table, each course paired with a TarraWarra wine and talked through as it arrives.

And the day sends a small something home, a quiet way to find the table again.

Stop Three · The Close

Yarra Valley Dairy

To close, a cheese tasting at Yarra Valley Dairy, the farm where it's made.

In a private room, a tasting of soft cheeses made on site, each with the story of how it comes to be, and a glass to match. An unhurried close as the afternoon settles over the valley.

And something of the day goes home with you, to draw it out a little longer.
