A day built for marking something

The Makers' Circuit moves a small group across three Yarra Valley producers in one day. A milestone birthday, an anniversary, or a client outing gets a full day to unfold, with a course and a wine at each stop.

Milestone birthdays

A thirtieth, a fortieth, a fiftieth: the kind of birthday that earns a full day. A Melbourne group is collected in the morning and brought home at the end of the day, spending it at Yering Station, TarraWarra Estate, and Yarra Valley Dairy, with wine paired at every stop and a handwritten recipe card to take home from the lunch. The group stays private, capped at six, with no other party added to the day.

Anniversaries

An anniversary suits the pace of a full day rather than a single sitting. Guests move from the underground cellar at Yering Station to a long lunch at TarraWarra Estate that begins in the kitchen garden, learning what is in season, before a three-course meal built from it. The day closes with a cheese tasting in a private room inside the hundred-year-old milking shed at Yarra Valley Dairy, where the cheese is made on site and some goes home with the group. A driver in a luxury vehicle collects the group in Melbourne and brings them home at the end of the day.

Client entertainment

A day with clients works best when the setting does some of the talking. Three Yarra Valley producers, a seat at each table, and conversation that moves at the pace of a long lunch rather than a boardroom. Groups of four to six suit this well; larger corporate groups and combined parties are not something we offer.

About booking for an occasion

Can a Makers' Circuit day be booked for a birthday or anniversary?

Yes. A circuit day is a private booking for one to six guests, so it suits a milestone birthday or an anniversary equally. Four to six is the most common party, and parties of one or two include a flat supplement for the private use of the day. Saturdays are the bookable day, with dates open on the booking page.

Do you cater for client entertainment or corporate groups?

Small groups of up to six are well suited to client entertainment, though we do not run large corporate events or combine parties on the day. The enquiry form is the place to send the details.

How far ahead should an occasion be booked?

The earliest bookable date is three weeks out, and Saturdays are the bookable day. Each Saturday takes one party, so a specific milestone date is worth settling early.
