Give a day in the Yarra Valley

Three places, and the people who grow, cook and pour what you taste along the way.

The Makers' Circuit is a whole day in the Yarra Valley, spent with the people who make the food and wine and shaped around what the season is doing. You give the day. They take it when the time is right.

The day, in three parts

Yering Station

A glass of Yarrabank on arrival and a walk down into the underground barrel cellar to see how the wine is made, then a plated entree with a wine to match.

Overhead view of a dark bowl holding a battered zucchini flower and salmon roe, beside a white plate of sliced venison with beetroot, blueberries and a potato crisp.

TarraWarra Estate

A long lunch that begins in the kitchen garden, learning what is in season, before a three-course meal built from it. A handwritten recipe card to take home.

A roasted quail with pea puree on a stoneware plate, and a bowl of cured salmon with roe in a pool of buttermilk, beside a glass of red wine on a dark timber table.

Yarra Valley Dairy

A closing cheese tasting in a private room inside a hundred-year-old milking shed, and some cheese to carry out.

Wine is paired at every stop. A driver in a luxury vehicle collects the group in Melbourne and brings them home, so no one watches the clock or the road.

Who it is for

A milestone worth marking. A thank you with more thought in it than a bottle. A gift for the person who would rather learn how a dish is made than be handed another one. The day sits best as a group of four to six.
